• Refrigerate the pack promptly and follow any variety- or batch-specific guidance supplied with it.
• Keep the pack away from raw meat, seafood and unclean surfaces.
• Discard produce with an unusual odour, visible spoilage or damaged packaging that makes it unsafe to use.

Before eating

Wash hands and use clean utensils. Rinse gently under clean running water just before use, drain well and avoid washing the full pack far in advance because retained moisture can shorten storage life.

Raw sprouts

Rinsing cannot remove every food-safety risk from sprouts. The U.S. FDA advises people at higher risk of foodborne illness—including young children, older adults, pregnant people and people with weakened immune systems—to avoid raw or lightly cooked sprouts; sprouts should be cooked thoroughly for those groups.
